Marlin Element socks are made of elastic neoprene by Sheico L. Inside is an open cell, the outer coating is nylon. The outsole is made of stiffer compression neoprene and reinforced with duratex material for better durability. Seams are glued with specialized glue for neoprene.

The upper part of the sock has a smooth coating, the contact of which with a cell or a smooth surface of the cuff of pants creates a waterlock, preventing water entry under the suit and socks. Due to sandwich technology the upper part of the sock of smoothskin neoprene is securely sewn to the nylon of the main sock.
